How to clean and hard refresh Chrome

I discovered recently that there is a native way to clean and hard refresh the Chrome browser.

I can’t believe that I discovered it only now, so I hope it can help others :

• Open Chrome
• Open DevTools (F12 Windows/Linux, or Cmd+Alt+I Mac)
• Now press the Ctrl key and hold it, while clicking the mouse (without releasing it!) on the refresh button :

• A menu appear with the usual shortcuts : Ctrl+R and Ctrl+Shift+R
• but there is a third way, without shortcuts : empty cache and hard reload

This trick could have saved me many debugging session, but at least now it’s here ;)
